For more than a month, the north Torrance post office doors have been locked after hours, preventing hundreds or perhaps thousands of people from being able to check their post office boxes. Upon inquiring, I was told this was because an individual had broken into the locked area and stolen mail.
Closing the doors amounts to punishing every paying customer because of the actions of one individual. How long will this continue? Why not hire a security guard or put better locks on the locked portion of the building instead of punishing the people who keep you in business?
